PNGtoDST was built by a small team of developers with a background in both software and garment decoration. We got tired of watching embroidery shop owners waste time fighting with auto-digitizing software that produced files full of jump stitches and broken paths.
We built the first version of this converter for internal use — to quickly validate designs before handing them off for manual digitizing. When it worked well enough to share, we cleaned it up and put it online for everyone.
Today PNGtoDST handles thousands of conversions every day. It will always be free for basic use.
